Adam and Steve have cloning technology?

A recent argument by Christians against gays is that only straight people have the gift of procreation. Bullshit. They go on to claim that if, through whatever improbable means, all of humanity except for two men were wiped out---then those two men (whom they insinuate to be Gay) could not procreate and thus after they die all humanity would be gone forever. In some cases they add in some phrase like "Its ADAM AND EVE NOT ADAM AND STEVE LOL". What they fail to realize is that we have the technology to clone human beings RIGHT NOW. Even if this aforementioned scenario were to take place, they could simply clone themselves(as well as possibly also clone other humans from the still-clonable-and-intact DNA of human corpses), and thus continue the human species. Why do Christians propagate this "Adam and Steve" bullshit even though recent scientific breakthrough contradict their argument?
