Why would an eagle talon tsi die and not start while driving down the road?

well i am looking at buying an eagle talon but it is dead basically.. the man told me his daughter was driving and then it just died out and it had to be towed and it starts over has compression and it sparks just fine i wonder if it is the wires are loose somewhere or it has something wrong fuel wise. please help....
